Hello, I’m Robert Roggath Kiondo, Founder and CEO of Mimi 2 Africa Luxury Travel.
Travel has never been just my profession it – is my life’s passion.
I founded Mimi 2 Africa Luxury Travel with one simple vision: to create extraordinary African journeys that are seamless, personalized, and unforgettable. Every itinerary we design is crafted with care, ensuring our guests experience not only Africa’s breathtaking wildlife and landscapes but also its rich cultures, warm hospitality, and hidden gems.
Based in Arusha, Tanzania, the safari capital of East Africa, I personally oversee luxury travel experiences for guests from around the world.
My Story
Born and raised in Moshi, on the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro, I developed a deep appreciation for Tanzania’s incredible beauty from an early age.
Over the past 15 years, I have explored almost every corner of Tanzania – from the endless plains of the Serengeti to the pristine beaches of Zanzibar, the remote wilderness of Ruaha, the chimpanzee forests of Mahale, and countless remarkable destinations in between.
My travels have also taken me across Africa and to destinations around the world, both professionally and personally, giving me a global perspective on what truly defines exceptional travel.
Before dedicating myself fully to tourism, I built a diverse career working in health, organizational development, wellbeing, community development, creativity, and the non-profit sector. These experiences shaped my leadership, strengthened my commitment to service, and reinforced my belief that meaningful travel has the power to connect people and change lives.

For me, travel is not simply about visiting destinations – it’s about creating lifelong memories, celebrating cultures, connecting with people, and discovering the extraordinary in every place.
Nothing brings me greater satisfaction than seeing guests fall in love with Africa and leave with unforgettable experiences they’ll treasure forever.
Whether it’s witnessing the Great Migration, watching the sunrise over Mount Kilimanjaro, enjoying a private bush dinner beneath the stars, or sharing moments with local communities, I believe every itinerary should include those magical moments that guests will talk about for years.

That’s why I love designing tailor-made luxury safaris that combine iconic wildlife experiences with authentic cultural encounters, adventure, relaxation, and exclusive experiences. My goal is to create journeys that exceed expectations – not simply vacations.

Throughout my career I’ve worked across tourism, education, health, sports, environmental conservation, media, and community development. These diverse experiences help me understand people from all walks of life and create travel experiences that genuinely reflect their interests.

I’m also a proud philanthropist who believes tourism should create positive impacts for local communities. Supporting community initiatives and sustainable tourism is an important part of who I am and how I do business.

I’m a proud father of two wonderful children—a son (Ian) and a daughter (Ariana) –who have inherited my passion for exploring the world. Sharing the joy of travel with my family continually reminds me why creating unforgettable experiences for other families is so rewarding.
