Karibu Tanzania – Welcome to Tanzania. On arrival at Kilimanjaro airport, you will be met by our Mimi 2 Africa Luxury Travel representative and transferred to your accommodation in Arusha for check-in, freshen up and overnight after a long-haul flight.
Arusha; Resting at the foot of Mount Meru, the sprawling city of Arusha is known as the safari capital of northern Tanzania. It serves as an excellent base from which to explore the remarkably scenic surrounding area which includes majestic Mount Kilimanjaro, as well as the Manyara, Tarangire and Ngorongoro National Parks. Ngorongoro Crater, the largest intact caldera in the world teams with an abundance of wildlife permanently resident on the crater floor. Prides of lions, herds of Cape buffalo, impala, Thompson gazelles, Elephants, golden and black backed jackal, zebra and the spotted hyena freely roam on the crater floor plains. Unmatched for its natural variety and breath-taking beauty, there are few places on earth where such a tremendous diversity of landscapes exists inside a region this size. Apart from its wildlife riches, the crater is also home to hundreds of bird species, refreshing in the small lakes in the crater floor. In the evening, we drive back to our game lodge for overnight stay.
In the late afternoon after enjoy game drive into the crater floor, ascend the crater rim and drive to your camp in Karatu for freshen up, dinner and overnight.
