Tanzania Safari Faq's

What is the best time to visit Tanzania for a safari?

The best time to visit Tanzania for a safari is generally during the dry season from June to October, when wildlife viewing is at its peak because animals gather around water sources and vegetation is less dense, making it easier to spot them in national parks such as the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire, and Lake Manyara. This period is also ideal for experiencing the famous Great Migration, especially river crossings in the Serengeti between July and September. However, Tanzania is a year-round safari destination, and the green season from November to May offers beautiful landscapes, fewer crowds, excellent bird watching, and opportunities to see newborn animals. At Mimi 2 Africa Luxury Travel, we help travellers choose the perfect safari season based on their interests, budget, and preferred wildlife experiences, creating unforgettable luxury Tanzania safari holidays throughout the year.

The cost of a Tanzania safari depends on several factors, including the number of days, type of accommodation, destinations visited, level of luxury, transportation, and the experiences included. On average, a Tanzania safari can range from budget options starting around $200–$350 per person per day to mid-range safaris of approximately $350–$800 per person per day, while luxury private safaris can cost $900 or more per person per day depending on the lodge and services selected. Popular safari destinations such as the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire, and Lake Manyara offer different experiences and price levels to suit various travel styles. At Mimi 2 Africa Luxury Travel, we create tailor-made luxury Tanzania safari packages with carefully selected accommodations, private safari vehicles, professional guides, and personalized services to ensure every traveller enjoys exceptional value, comfort, and a memorable African adventure.

Yes, you can fully customise your Tanzania safari itinerary to match your travel preferences, interests, budget, and available time. At Mimi 2 Africa Luxury Travel, we specialise in creating tailor-made private safari experiences that allow travellers to choose their preferred destinations, accommodation style, safari duration, activities, and travel pace. Whether you want to explore the wildlife-rich plains of the Serengeti, discover the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater, combine a safari with a relaxing Zanzibar beach holiday, or enjoy a luxury honeymoon safari, our expert team designs personalised itineraries to create a unique and unforgettable African journey. Every safari is carefully planned to provide comfort, flexibility, and exceptional experiences based on your individual expectations.

The best time to visit Zanzibar is during the dry seasons from June to October and December to February, when the island enjoys warm temperatures, clear skies, calm seas, and excellent conditions for beach holidays, water activities, and cultural exploration. These months are ideal for relaxing on Zanzibar’s famous white-sand beaches, enjoying snorkelling and diving around coral reefs, visiting Stone Town, and experiencing romantic honeymoon escapes. The months of March to May bring the long rainy season, while November usually experiences shorter rains, although Zanzibar remains a beautiful destination throughout the year. At Mimi 2 Africa Luxury Travel, we help travellers plan the perfect Zanzibar holiday by recommending the best travel period based on their preferred activities, weather expectations, and personalised luxury travel experiences.

The ideal length of stay in Zanzibar depends on your interests, travel style, and the experiences you want to enjoy, but most travellers find that 5 to 7 days is the perfect amount of time to explore the island’s highlights while enjoying a relaxing beach holiday. A shorter 3 to 4-day Zanzibar trip can cover key attractions such as Stone Town, spice tours, and beach relaxation, while a longer 7 to 10-day holiday allows more time for exploring hidden beaches, snorkelling, diving, island excursions, cultural experiences, and romantic escapes. At Mimi 2 Africa Luxury Travel, we create personalised Zanzibar holiday itineraries that combine luxury accommodation, unforgettable activities, and private experiences based on each traveller’s available time and preferences, ensuring a memorable and stress-free island adventure.

A Zanzibar holiday package can include a variety of services designed to make your island experience comfortable, relaxing, and memorable. Depending on your chosen package, inclusions may cover luxury accommodation, airport transfers, daily meals, guided excursions, cultural tours, beach activities, boat trips, snorkelling experiences, and personalised travel support. Some packages can also be combined with Tanzania safari adventures, allowing travellers to enjoy both wildlife and tropical beach experiences in one unforgettable journey. At Mimi 2 Africa Luxury Travel, we design tailor-made Zanzibar holiday packages with carefully selected hotels, private transfers, authentic experiences, and professional assistance to ensure every traveller enjoys a seamless luxury beach escape in Zanzibar.

Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro is a challenging but achievable adventure for travellers with good physical preparation, determination, and the right guidance. As the highest mountain in Africa, Kilimanjaro requires endurance, proper acclimatisation, and mental strength, although technical climbing skills are generally not required for most routes. The difficulty level depends on the chosen route, number of days, weather conditions, and personal fitness, with longer routes often offering better acclimatisation and higher chances of reaching the summit. At Mimi 2 Africa Luxury Travel, we help travellers plan safe and memorable Kilimanjaro trekking experiences by recommending suitable routes, experienced mountain guides, quality equipment support, and well-organised itineraries designed to maximise comfort and summit success.

The cost of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro depends on several factors, including the chosen route, number of trekking days, group size, level of service, accommodation before and after the climb, park fees, guides, porters, meals, and additional travel arrangements. On average, a Kilimanjaro climb can range from around $1,500 to $4,500+ per person, with longer routes and premium services costing more due to better acclimatisation, experienced mountain crews, and higher comfort levels. At Mimi 2 Africa Luxury Travel, we create well-organised Kilimanjaro trekking packages that include professional mountain guides, essential support services, carefully planned itineraries, and personalised assistance to help travellers experience a safe, rewarding, and unforgettable journey to the summit of Africa’s highest mountain.
